Author and performer Alexander Plotnikov explores the tragic, forgotten stories of the men, women, and dogs sacrificed for the Soviet space dream. Alpha Centauri weaves documentary testimony with poetic imagination, turning unrealized destinies into an act of quiet resistance. In an era where past victories are weaponized by modern rhetoric, this performance brings back the vulnerable and human side of history—giving a voice to those erased by time and ideology. In Russian with English subtitles
Alexander Plotnikov (b. 1995) is an award-winning director and playwright. Having left Russia after the war, he collaborates with international festivals like Sens Interdits (Lyon) and Voices (Berlin), creating poetic documentary theatre on memory and trauma.
